Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today extended greetings to the personnel of Delhi Police as they celebrate the 79th Raising Day.

Hailing the police force as the symbol of safety and trust for every citizen of Delhi, the CM congratulated all the brave jawans, personnel, and their families.

She lauded Delhi Police for upholding the motto of ‘Shanti, Seva, Nyay’ (Peace, Service, Justice) and protecting the capital with indomitable courage and unwavering dedication in every challenging situation.

In a post on the social media platform X, Delhi CM wrote: “Your steadfast commitment to duty and tireless hard work in the service of the people is a matter of immense pride for all of us. The entire Delhi bows to this unparalleled spirit of service from the heart.”

79th Raising Day celebrations in Delhi

The Delhi Police on Monday celebrated its 79th Raising Day with Union Home Minister Amit Shah attending the occasion as the chief guest and reviewing a ceremonial parade.

The Delhi Police’s best marching contingent, SWAT team, dog squad, band team, motorcycle riders, PCR units and several other specialised formations showcased a coordinated march past. Senior officers and personnel were present on the occasion.

Also, Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted on social media: “With unwavering dedication, they have set exemplary standards in serving and securing the people. Solemn tributes to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.”
