Sahil Luthra, a Delhi-based businessman, who deals in the defence sector, has allegedly received a death threat from an international extortion racket.
According to the FIR filed by Luthra, he received the threat via a voice note on WhatsApp on April 24. This is the second time in less than three months Luthra has been threatened with his life.

The callers had reportedly claimed responsibility for last year’s firing incident at his Amritsar residence.
The callers also told him that they are aware of his security detail, asserting that it won’t be able to prevent the attack.
Luthra, who is the Managing Director of Vijayen Trishul Defence Solutions (VTDS), told the police that he is receiving death threats since October last year when his company announced plans to expand its operations in Punjab.
Following Luthra’s complaint, the case has been handed over to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police and an investigation is currently underway.
In May last year, Luthra’s company had reportedly faced a cyber attack. The attackers had targeted the company’s emails and social media handles.
