Congress unveils power-packed star campaigners lineup ahead of Bihar’s crucial phase two polls

In a strategic move to boost its presence in Bihar, the Congress on Sunday announced a formidable list of 40 star campaigners for the second phase of the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections slated for November 11. The roster features a blend of top national icons and influential state leaders, signalling the party’s intense push to energise voters across key constituencies.

Heading the lineup is Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, closely followed by stalwarts Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who are set to headline major rallies and galvanise crowds. Veteran leaders, including Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Digvijaya Singh, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, and Sachin Pilot, will spearhead outreach efforts in diverse regions.

The list also highlights influential names like K C Venugopal, Pawan Khera, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Meira Kumar, and youth icons such as Kanhaiya Kumar and Supriya Shrinate, aiming to connect with younger voters and grassroots supporters. Senior Bihar Congress faces like Madan Mohan Jha and Furqan Ansari further strengthen the campaign team.

This diverse and dynamic roster underscores Congress’s commitment to unity and vigor within the INDIA alliance ahead of the crucial polls. Campaigners plan to spotlight pressing issues including employment, inflation, farmers’ hardships, and women’s welfare, while sharply critiquing the NDA government’s record.

With phase one voting scheduled for November 6 and phase two on November 11, followed by counting on November 14, the Congress-led Mahagathbandhan is gearing up for a high-stakes contest to reclaim ground across Bihar’s 243 assembly seats.
