Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, on Wednesday, made a fervent appeal to voters, urging them not to let their right to vote be snatched away.
In a post on platform X, he emphasised the importance of asking questions and demanding answers, particularly in light of allegations of vote manipulation.

“Do not let your right to vote be snatched away. Ask questions, demand answers, this time! Raise your voice against #VoteChori. Free constitutional institutions from the clutches of the BJP,” Kharge said in his post, stressing that protecting the Constitution and democracy is crucial, and voters must exercise their franchise to secure their rights.
The controversy surrounds the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, which the opposition claims is an attempt to deprive people of their voter rights. The Congress party, led by Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, has been protesting against the alleged “vote chori” and demanding accountability from the Election Commission.
Meanwhile, the Congress has planned a series of programmes to take its allegations to the people, including:
“Loktantra Bachao Mashaal Marches” will be held at all district headquarters on August 14, the eve of Independence Day.
“Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhodd” rallies will be organised in all state headquarters between August 22 and September 7.
”Signature Campaign will be conducted to save the right to vote and ensure people’s participation from September 15 to October 15.”
