CM Yogi congratulates Major Unnikrishnan’s parents for ‘Major’ success

After Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath met Adivi Sesh, along with Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s parents, in Lucknow on Monday to congratulate them on the success of the film ‘Major’.
Adivi Sesh showed 10 minutes of the film to the chief minister and requested him to watch the entire movie. They discussed the film at length before CM congratulated the ‘Major’ team on making a great film and presented Adivi Sesh and Major Sandeep’s parents with a shawl and silver coin as a memento.

Expressing the gratitude, actor Adivi Sesh who portrayed the titular role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and was unanimously praised by fans and audiences for portraying the Major with utmost dignity and grace said, “I’m so overwhelmed with all the love that is pouring in for the film. People from all over the country are honoring Major Sandeep’s memory and legacy and to us, that is the biggest win.”
He further added, “We recently met Yogi Adityanath Ji and he had some wonderful things to say to me and Major Sandeep’s parents. He presented us with a shawl and silver coin and also felt that Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s legacy is one that the world deserves to honor.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said a developed India is Narendra Modi's guarantee and those who point fingers at the Prime Minister, are hindering India's development.
Addressing the gathering, Yogi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts in uplifting the underprivileged citizens of the nation. "Today, we pay homage to Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Honouring Baba Saheb signifies respecting the marginalised communities and upholding the Constitution," he emphasised.
He inaugurated 1,100 Annapurna Bhawans and launched Electronic Weighing Scale-linked e-POS machines at 79,000 fair price shops across the state on the occasion.
