Three dead, four missing as car plunges into Ganga
Three people died and four others went missing after an Innova SUV they were travelling in plunged into River Ganga on Tuesday.

The chief minister met Tharali disaster victims at Kulsari relief camp, one of the three camps, and sought feedback on the arrangements and facilities provided to them by the Chamoli district administration. He instructed officials to ensure that the affected people do not face any inconvenience and get all necessary help from the administration.

Dhami gave ₹5 lakh as immediate financial assistance to the families the deceased who lost their houses in cloudburst. He directed the officials for fast rehabilitation of those rendered homeless.

During their interaction with the chief minister at the camp, the victims shared their harrowing experience. Dhami assured them of full support from his government. “In this time of crisis, the state government stands firmly with the affected people and no stone will be left unturned in relief efforts,” he asserted.
Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari informed that the affected families have been safely housed in relief camps and provided all help, meals and lodging. In the three camps, 12 victims are staying at the Government Polytechnic College in Kulsari, 36 at the Primary School in Chepro village market and 20 at the Primary School in Upper Bazaar Tharali. According to Tiwari, adequate stock of medicines was made available to the affected people in the camps.
Apprising the chief minister of the latest situation, Tiwari said the damaged roads are being repaired and power supply will be restored soon. He informed him that repair of damaged drinking water pipelines are also in progress and an assessment of the damaged properties is being conducted in the affected areas.
