Prayagraj police has filed a chargesheet against late mafia Atiq Ahmed’s sons, Mohammad Umar and Ali Ahmed , and other accused in connection with the gruesome murder of lawyer Umesh Pal and two government gunmen in Sulem Sarai on February 24, 2023.
The chargesheet was filed in a special court by the Dhoomanganj police under the Gangster Act on Tuesday.

Mohammad Umar and Ali Ahmed are accused of hatching the conspiracy to murder advocate Pal and two government gunmen.

According to sources, the court has given the police two days time to hear the matter.
The chargesheet was filed against Mohammad Umar and Ali Ahmed, along with Atiq’s lawyer Vijay Mishra, Khan Saulat Hanif, brother-in-law Akhlaq Ahmed, Sadaqat Khan, Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen, sister Ayesha Noori, shooters Guddu Muslim, Mohammad Arman, and Sabir, among others.
However, Shaista Parveen and Ayesha Noori are absconding.
A reward of Rs 50,000 had been announced on Shaista Parveen, and Rs 25,000 on Ayesha Noori.
The three shooters, Guddu Muslim, Mohammad Arman, and Sabir, are also absconding. A reward of Rs 5 lakh each has been announced by the government on them.
