CBI arrests man for duping loan applicants by posing as Animal Husbandry Department official
By claiming to be an AHIDF official and discussing loan application details, he was obtaining money from many applicants daily.

The CBI on Friday announced that it has registered a corruption case against a former senior accounts officer of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in Kothagudem, Telangana, and three private individuals.

The case was filed based on a complaint from BHEL’s Chief Vigilance Officer, alleging financial irregularities in payments made for the Thermal Power Project in Kothagudem by the former officer.

The CBI alleges that the accused diverted GST input tax credits belonging to three private companies to unrelated sub-contractors, thereby misappropriating the funds.
As part of the investigation, searches were conducted at six locations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, leading to the seizure of incriminating documents. The investigation is ongoing.
