Big curiosity prevails in the remote part of Uttarakhand over the find of a cave-like chamber during the road cutting operation. The small size chamber has attracted the attention of the villagers over its totally unique rock formation. The distinctive shape of the rock makes the cave the most discussed topic in district Ruderprayag.

The cave surfaced near Raulake, 15 km from Ukhimath. PWD’s executive engineer Manoj Das said, “A team of geologists toured the spot on Sunday. Due to the rock formation, big curiosity prevails among the public.”

The road construction work of Raulake to Jaggi Bagwan was underway when the PWD team spotted the cave. The news about the chamber, with totally different rock formation, spread like a wildfire and attracted people from far and near. Yashpal Negi, a resident of Mukkumath village says, “The topic is hot on social media groups in our area.”

The front portion of the cave is less than two feet. Initial investigation indicates that the limestone chamber and rock formation took place possibly naturally. But, the villagers are not bothered. They visit the spot daily to offer prayers.
