BSF steps up vigilance amid law-and-order concerns in Bangladesh
In response to the worsening law and order situation in Bangladesh, the Border Security Force (BSF) has heightened its operational preparedness along the India-Bangladesh border.
The explosive substances recovered from the dump included among other things gelatin sticks and detonators.
The Border Security Force (BSF) busted an ammunition dump suspected to have been used by the Maoists for illegal manufacturing and repair of weapons in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected Malkangiri district, officials said on Tuesday.
On the basis of specific information, an operation was launched by the BSF troops leading to the recovery of an ammunition dump near a water inlet in Arlingpada village of Jantri Gram Panchayat under Jodambo police station jurisdiction of Malkangiri district, BSF said in a statement issued.
The explosive substances recovered from the dump included among other things gelatin sticks and detonators.

It is a major jolt to the subversive and anti-national design of Maoists in this area. The explosives were dumped and were intended to be used against innocent civilians and security forces to carry out their subversive, anti-national activities. In the wake of recovery, further combing and search operations are going on in this area, added BSF officials.
