Ongoing snow clearance work has been progressing on a war-footing and the road has been kept open till Sarthal and progressing towards Chhatergala. Despite various challenges, 69 Road Construction Company (GREF) with its dedicated staff has ensured continuous snow clearance operations to facilitate movement of security forces, tourists and residents.

69 Road Construction Coy (GREF)/35 BRTF Project Sampark has also taken up simultaneous snow clearance operations in Dalhousie area of Himachal Pradesh. Adequate state of the art equipment has been deployed for snow clearance. Due to the extreme cold climate in this area, icing on the road surface makes the work more challenging, said a defence spokesman.

Despite various odds BRO men and resources have been working continuously to keep the line of communication through for forces, tourists and the civilian population.
