Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, Sunday alleged that the BJP spreads hatred to distract the public from real issues and loot the nation’s wealth. He claimed that the ruling party instils fear among people so that no one asks the right questions.

Addressing public rallies at Kishanganj and Purnea today, the final day of campaigning for the Bihar Assembly elections, the Congress leader claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi only talks to Adani and Ambani and meets people in suits and boots. He never visits farmers, labourers, or young people, he alleged.

“If he ever met the farmers, workers, or youth of Bihar, they would tell him they need food-processing units, hospitals, and employment. Modi does not want to talk to the poor because they would ask why Bihar’s youth are not getting jobs, why there aren’t good colleges and universities in Bihar, and why young people are forced to migrate to other states for work,” Gandhi said.

He also alleged that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has destroyed employment in Bihar, while PM Modi has destroyed it across the country.

The Congress leader said, “Everything sold in Bihar today is made in China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, or Korea. We want the products sold here to have the ‘Made in Bihar’ tag. You grow pineapples, mangoes, corn, and fox nuts (makhana), but in 20 years, Nitish Kumar has not set up even a single food-processing unit. Home Minister Amit Shah openly lies, saying there is no land in Bihar for industries, while Adani is given land at the rate of just one rupee per acre.”

He promised that the INDIA bloc government in Bihar would improve education by opening more government schools and colleges. “I also make one more promise: as soon as the INDIA alliance forms the government at the Centre, we will build in Bihar one of the finest universities in the world,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi once again raised the issue of ‘vote theft,’ claiming that he has shown evidence of it in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Haryana, but ”Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and CEC Gyanesh Kumar have failed to respond”.

He asserted that it is the responsibility of every young person, every Gen Z, every farmer, and every worker in Bihar to stop this “vote theft.”

“It’s election time, be alert at the polling booths. BJP workers will try to steal votes, but don’t let them do it. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are afraid of the people’s voice. They have stolen the soul of India, but in the end, they will surely be caught,” he claimed.
