The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) in Bihar Thursday announced that there are only four days left to file claims and objections for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The deadline for filing Claims and Objections is September 1, 2025.

In its daily press bulletin the ECI said that so far over 1.6 lakh claims and objections have been received from political parties while over 1.95 lakh claims and objections have been received directly from electors. Also, more than 8.51 lakh forms have been received from new electors who have attained the age of 18.

It said eligible citizens can check their name in the draft electoral roll online using their EPIC number. Claims can also be filed in Form 6 along with a copy of the Aadhaar card for eligible electors who are not included in the draft roll. Also, objections can be filed in Form 7 for ineligible electors who have been included in the draft roll.

The poll panel further clarified that ERO/AERO will dispose of claims and objections after verification of eligibility and no name can be deleted from the draft list without passing an order by the ERO/AERO after giving a fair and reasonable opportunity to the affected parties.
