Finding polling booth: Bihar is getting ready for a big political fight again. The first phase of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will take place on November 6, second on November 11, and the final results will come out on November 14. People across the state will soon decide who will rule Bihar for the next five years and this time, the competition looks tough.

On one side, the BJP is trying hard to hold its ground and continue its power push. On the other side, the INDIA bloc, made up of RJD, Congress, and Left parties, is hoping to make a strong comeback. Now it is up to voters to choose whether they want change or whether they believe the promises and work done so far deserve another chance.

Around 3.75 crore (37.5 million) people are expected to vote in the first phase. They will choose from 1,314 candidates.

This election comes soon after a big exercise to update the voter list. After the revision, Bihar now has 7.24 crore registered voters, which is nearly 60 lakh less than before. The Election Commission says this cleanup was important to remove duplicate and incorrect names.

How to find your polling booth in Bihar (simple steps)

Method 1: Using Election Commission Website

1. Visit electoralsearch (dot) eci (dot) gov (dot) in
2. Enter your Voter ID (EPIC number)
3. Select Bihar as your state
4. Fill the captcha and click Search
5. You will see your polling booth name and address

1. Go to nvsp (dot) in
2. Click “Know Your Polling Station”
3. Log in with your mobile number or voter ID
4. Download your booth slip directly

Alternate Ways

– Scan QR codes displayed in public places
– Visit your District Election Office if you are unable to access online services

For many families in Bihar, election day is more than just voting. Every vote counts, and new voters are also joining in with excitement. Out of the 3.75 crore voters in the first phase, 10.72 lakh are voting for the first time.

There will be 45,341 polling stations in the first phase, and most of them (36,733) are in rural areas. That means the villages of Bihar hold major power in deciding the state’s political future.
