Bihar is getting ready for another big day of voting. The second phase of the Bihar Assembly Election will take place on 11 November 2025, a Tuesday. This round will decide the future of 122 assembly seats across the state. The counting of votes will be held on 14 November 2025. and then the results will reveal who will run Bihar for the next five years.
This election is very important because the current Bihar Assembly will complete its term on 22 November 2025. Five years ago, in 2020, voters chose a government led by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), and Nitish Kumar became Chief Minister again.

Phase 2 covers a wide mix of regions from flood-prone areas to industrial belts, from hilly regions to large towns. Each seat has its own story, its own issues, and its own political mood.
Some seats will see very close contests, especially where the three major forces NDA, RJD-Congress alliance, and smaller regional parties are fighting strongly.
Security forces will be making sure voting happens smoothly. Election officials are also preparing polling booths, voter slips, and special arrangements for elderly and differently-abled voters.
