The Bihar cabinet on Tuesday approved Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s plan to provide government jobs and employment opportunities to one crore youth of the state in the next five years.

Welcoming the decision, Bihar BJP President Dr. Dilip Jaiswal said that the NDA government’s target of creating one crore new jobs and employment opportunities in the next five years (2025–2030) would make the youth self-reliant and give a new direction to Bihar’s economic progress.

He also praised the cabinet’s decision to establish and expand 112 industrial training institutes across the state to equip youth with technical skills.

State JD(U) President Umesh Singh Kushwaha said, “Bihar today figures among the leading states of the country in creating employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth. This remarkable achievement is a testimony to Nitish Kumar’s visionary policies and committed leadership.”

He also appreciated the cabinet’s decision to form a high-level committee to realise this ambitious goal, and to establish the Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University to achieve the target of creating one crore jobs and self-employment opportunities.
