The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to announce its first list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly Elections 2025 in Bihar on Monday.

The BJP have reportedly finalised candidates for almost all seats after a long brainstorming session during the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting in Delhi on Sunday.

During the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda, the party discussed in detail the seat distribution and candidate selection for the crucial Bihar elections.

The BJP CEC meeting came shortly after NDA leaders, including JDU’s Sanjay Kumar Jha, BJP’s Vinod Tawde, and Union Minister Chirag Paswan, announced their seat-sharing pact.

As per the arrangement, Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) or JDU and the BJP will contest 101 seats each.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) or LJP(RV) has been allotted 29 seats, while Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Party (Secular) or HAM(S) will contest six seats. The same number of seats will go to Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM).

The elections for the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting of votes scheduled for November 14.
