KCR slams BJP, Modi over Kavitha’s arrest in Delhi liquor scam
He criticised Prime Minister Modi, alleging that Kavitha's arrest was a sign of political vendetta since they had tried to arrest BL Santosh for trying to bribe his MLAs.
Congress slammed Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Thursday for demanding Bharat Ratna for its ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and said why does the party only wants Bharat Ratna for Savarkar and not Godse. Congress leader Manish Tiwari in his tweet said that Savarkar was only chargesheeted and later acquitted for assassination of Gandhi, while Godse was convicted and hanged.
He also said that on his 150th anniversary, if you want to defile his memory, then go the whole nine yards.

Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said Savarkar had two aspects to his life, one his participation in the freedom struggle and other when he came out of the Cellular Jail in Andaman after seeking an apology and writing a mercy plea.
The attacks by the Congress came after BJP working President Amit Shah hailed Savarkar while addressing a seminar at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi.
“The Mutiny of 1857 would have remained a revolt as the British had called it. It was Veer Savarkar who gave it the name of the first war of independence,” said Shah at the seminar.
Shah also emphasised the history should be re-written so that the due credit is given to those who have been ignored.
