A BJP legislator had to face the ire of the public for showing sympathy with expelled Khanpur MLA Kunwar Pranab Singh Champion who was removed from the party for dancing with guns and abusing the hill people. Badrinath MLA Mahendra Bhatt, on Wednesday, published a post on his social media page and hinted that Congress played dirty games behind the removal of Kunwar Pranab Champion from the BJP. He even asked the controversial political leader to read the philosophy and books on BJP thoughts to defeat his rivals.

As soon as Bhatt shared the post, netizens started trolling him heavily. Within hours, the post received 285 comments with most lashing the politician. Realizing the anger of people, Mahendra Bhatt deleted the post on Thursday. But by then the damage was already done.

Rajya Sabha Member Anil Baluni, who registered objection on the language used by Champion in the viral video, has received wide praise for raising the issue. On the other hand, Khanpur MLA Kunwar Pranab Singh Champion’s supporters are targeting the media and BJP.

Many of Champion’s sympathizers are connecting the incident with the recent incident involving BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya’s son Akash Vijayvargiya who attacked a civic body official with a cricket bat in Indore. They aver that Akash Vijayvargiya was spared due to high connections and action was taken against Champion for a private video in which he was celebrating at his home.

After the video of Kunwar Pranab Singh Champion became viral on social media, the MLA faced severe criticism on the social media. After the situation became ugly, Champion decided to deactivate his Facebook account. The Khanpur MLA had 246, 646 followers on Facebook. After getting expelled from the BJP, the Khanpur legislator has so far not reacted on the action.
