The 25-foot-tall minaret of the Eidgah has been demolished, and the process to demolish the remaining portion was underway in the Asmoli police station area.

Over 100 police, PAC, and RAF personnel were deployed to prevent people from the surrounding area from entering the site.

Before demolishing the mosque, the authorities pulled down two houses.

The administration says the action is based on a court order. Six bighas of land were illegally occupied, including four bighas belonging to a government cemetery.

The Eidgah and mosque occupied 70 square meters of this land. The remaining 2 bighas of land belonged to a woman in the village, but was forcibly occupied by two men. The incident occurred in the Asmoli police station area.

A complaint was lodged with DM Rajendra Pansiya regarding the Idgah and mosque built on government cemetery land. He had the site measured, which revealed the construction to be illegal. Subsequently, on April 21, 2026, the Tehsildar Court ordered the demolition of the Idgah and mosque.
