A delegation led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind regarding the status of implementation of assurances made in the Parliament during
the passing of AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.
Earlier in the day, Naidu undertook a protest march from Andhra Bhavan to the Rashtrapati Bhavan over the demand for special status for the state.
Naidu will call on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee later in the day.

The march comes a day after Naidu sat on a day-long fast, dubbed ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ in Delhi.
Clad in a black shirt to protest the raw deal meted out to the state, Naidu slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the latter’s scathing attack on him in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur on Sunday.
Naidu recalled that when then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announced the SCS for five years, the BJP leaders in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu had insisted for a period of 10 years.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the Centre had failed to implement the provisions of Bifurcation Act, including funds to bridge the revenue deficit, railway zone in Visakhapatnam, steel plant in Kadapa and petrochemical corridor.
The TDP chief also accused PM Modi and the NDA government of dividing the country.
At the protest venue, Naidu was joined by a host of opposition leaders including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, LJD leader Sharad Yadav, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress President Rahul Gandhi among others.
A large number of protesters had also joined Naidu. They reached the national capital by two special trains hired by the state government.
