The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) will seek explanation from party’s Rajya Sabha member PV Abdul Wahab for his praise of Minister of State for External Affairs V Muralidharan. The IUML Kerala president Sadiqali Shihab Thangal has, on Wednesday, said the party does not agree with the remarks made by Abdul Wahab in the Rajya Sabha, in praise of the Union minister.

Sadiqali Shihab Thangal, in a statement issued on Wednesday, said the Muslim League does not agree with the statement made by  party MP PV Abdul Wahab in the Rajya Sabha, praising Muralidharan and that an explanation would  be sought  from him (Wahab) regarding the circumstances under which the statement was made.

Muslim League leader PV Abdul Wahab, while speaking in the Rajya Sabha during a debate on the Appropriation Bill, had lauded the minister, calling him the “ambassador” of Kerala in Delhi. Wahab also praised Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar stating that his ministry is doing a commendable job in implementing skill development schemes.
