The Anna University increased the transcript and certificate documents fees from Rs 500 to Rs 750 per set with effect from 15 January 2019.

In a new notification the Anna University said that candidates shall have to apply for the issue of Transcripts in prescribed Application form available free of cost at the Transcript Section of the Office of the Controller of Examinations in person or via any person authorised by the candidate.

The fee of Rs 750 per set will have to be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Controller of Examinations, Anna University, Chennai – 25” payable at Chennai.

Transcripts will be issued to candidates from College of Engineering Guindy, Alagappa College of Technology, Chennai, Madras Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and Planning and Autonomous Affiliated Colleges or Institutions in 5 Working Days excluding the day of submission.

For Non-Autonomous Affiliated Colleges or Institutions, the transcripts will be issued in 10-15 Working Days excluding the day of submission.

The fee for the online mode of obtaining transcripts is Rs 850. An additional USD 20 will be charged from applicants are from other countries. The online system was introduced in 2016.

How to obtain transcript through online mode:

1 Go to aucoe.annauniv.edu or onlinetranscript.annauniv.edu/transcript

If on aucoe.annauniv.edu click on ‘student service’.

If on onlinetranscript.annauniv.edu/transcript click on ‘Transcript’

2 The candidate has to register first with REGISTER NUMBER and PASSWORD.

3 After registration, the candidate has to LOGIN to upload the necessary documents to obtain transcript and other certificate documents through online mode

4 The necessary payment charges has to be paid to obtain the transcript and other documents through online mode

5 The shipment charges (Courier charges) have to be paid for delivering the transcript to the candidate‘s communication address/personal address (This facility will be implemented in due course)

Transcripts are a student’s consolidated mark sheets and other academic details attested by authorities. It is a part of the pre-requisite documents when a candidate applies for universities abroad.

According to reports, close to 15,000 students from Anna University apply on an average for transcripts every year.
