Akhilesh Yadav, national president of the Samajwadi Party, on Monday took a dig at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his foreign tour to Singapore and Japan.
Akhilesh Yadav said that while the Chief Minister was going to Singapore on a “sweet trip,” he should also examine the water management system there.

In a social media post on Monday, Akhilesh remarked that the water streams in Singapore appear attractive and well-organised, whereas in Uttar Pradesh, water is often seen flowing from cracked tanks and broken pipes.
Taking a sarcastic swipe, he said the Chief Minister would be surprised to see how water resources can be made efficient and visually appealing through better planning and management.
He alleged that adequate attention was not being paid to the maintenance of infrastructure in the state, causing inconvenience to the public.
The SP chief further said that the Chief Minister was going on a “tour of experience” in the final phase of his tenure, whereas such exposure should have been utilised earlier for the benefit of the state.
He added that the people of Uttar Pradesh need better water supply, robust infrastructure and effective management to address their everyday problems.
