A Class 10 student was allegedly stabbed to death by his junior, a student of Class 8, at their school in Khokhara area of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, triggering violent protests by the family members of the victim and the Opposition Congress’ student wing NSUI.
The chilling murder took place at the Seventh Day School on Tuesday, August 19. After the attack, the injured student was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries during the treatment on Wednesday.

Following the murder, chats of the accused and his friend has gone viral on social media. The viral chats suggested the accused killed his senior after an argument at the school.

“He was telling me who are you what can you do,” the accused told his friend when he inquired about the reason.
When his friend said that this was no reason to kill, he said, “what has happened, has happened.”

Friend: Please call for a minute.
Friend: ….You can’t stab someone to death for this. You could have just beaten him up, not killed him.

Friend: Take care of yourself. Go underground for some time. Delete these chats.
Accused: Ok.
Following the murder, family members and relatives vandalised the school. Workers of the NSUI also staged a protest outside the school premises.
The police have detained the accused student and further investigation is underway.
Police are examining CCTV footage and forensic evidence after a woman was killed inside a private company office in Mohali, while the accused remains hospitalised.
