The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday strongly criticised the recent SSC exam irregularities, calling them a “serious administrative failure.” The student body has demanded a high-level probe and immediate action to support the affected candidates.
The student organisation pointed to multiple issues in the recent SSC exam cycle, including the late issuance of admit cards, allotment of far-off test centres, technical glitches, and abrupt cancellation of exams without prior notice.

The situation escalated further after reports emerged of force being used against students who were peacefully protesting outside the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) office in Delhi.

Calling these incidents “deeply unfortunate,” ABVP’s national general secretary, Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki, said: “The irregularities in the SSC examinations are not merely instances of administrative failure but a grave injustice to the dignity and future of the youth. Sensitive handling, transparency, and accountability must be the highest priorities in the conduct of such crucial national-level exams.”
He emphasised that ABVP stands firmly with the affected candidates and will continue to advocate for their demands through appropriate platforms.
According to ABVP, these lapses have impacted millions of aspirants across the country. The organisation criticised the examination agency for releasing admit cards only two days before the exam and assigning distant centres, calling it a clear sign of poor planning and insensitivity.
“Mismanagement in the conduct of these exams and lack of transparency is extremely unfortunate,” said the ABVP’s official statement.
“Cancelling exams without prior notice clearly indicates a complete failure on the part of the examination agency. This has adversely impacted the candidates’ time, effort, financial resources, and mental well-being.”
ABVP has demanded the formation of a high-level committee to probe the irregularities, ensure accountability, announce new dates for the cancelled exams without delay, and improve transparency in future centre allocations. The organisation also called for respectful and timely communication with candidates.
Dr Solanki further added, ABVP firmly believes that the guilty must face the strictest punishment, dates of cancelled exams must be declared promptly, and due action must be taken on the legitimate demands of the candidates.”
While strongly opposing the use of force on student protestors, the ABVP has also urged candidates to avoid falling for unverified information and to express their concerns in a disciplined and factual manner.
As criticism mounts against SSC and DoPT, ABVP’s intervention adds momentum to the growing nationwide demand for reform in competitive exam procedures and greater transparency in government recruitment.
