Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said  that his Government will dedicate more than 400 new Aam Aadmi Clinics to people of the State on 27 January. This will help the State enhance the total number of functional clinics to 500.
Chairing a meeting, organized to review the arrangements for the mega event to be held at Amritsar on 27 January, he said that in order to provide quality and timely health services to the people, 100 Aam Aadmi clinics have already been dedicated to the people on 75th Independence Day.
He said these clinics are offering 41 health packages with nearly 100 clinical tests free of cost to the people. According to him, these clinics are acting as a cornerstone to revamp of the healthcare system in Punjab.
Mann said that with the opening of more than 400 Aam Aadmi Clinics, Punjab will script a new success story in the healthcare sector by functioning of 500 such clinics.
According to him, these initiative will rejuvenate the healthcare system in the State. He directed the officers to ensure foolproof arrangements for the mega events.
Earlier, he announced complete transformation of the education, health and employment sector in the State.
The CM , who conducted a surprise visit at the local health centre in Kurali, said that the State Government is committed to revive these sectors to benefit the people and that a major thrust is being laid on these sectors to ensure that more and more people can take benefit from it.
He said that with the strengthening of the education and health sector, new employment opportunities will also be created. He said that this will help the State in checking the brain drain and reversing the trend of youth migrating to other countries.
