With the arrest of five drug traffickers including four Nigerian nationals, the Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Delhi Police have succeeded in busting two gangs of Nigerian nationals involved in drug supply in the Delhi-NCR region in two different operations.

The police have recovered about 359 grams of Heroin and 18 grams of fine quality Methylenedioxy Methamphetamine (MDMA) worth lakhs from the possession of the accused.

According to the police, the gangs were operating clandestinely in the trans-Yamuna area as well as Dwarka of Delhi.

Special Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Singh Yadav said that the team of ANTF comprising of Inspector Devender, Rakesh Duhan, Sub-Inspector Sukhraj, Vikasdeep, Vishan and Head-Constable Manish under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police Anil Sharma is conducting a series of meticulously planned operations across India in a robust strategy with a clear mandate of ‘Drug Free Campaign’.

Special CP said that in one operation, three Nigerian nationals involved in drug trafficking were arrested along with 359 grams of Heroin from the Dwarka More area by the team of Crime Branch, after a month long operation to trace the accused.

The accused have been identified as Chiwetal Okeke (32), Henry Chinedu (35), and Joseph Paul (34), all natives of Nigeria.

In another operation, the team of ANTF developed information about drug trafficking in the area of Laxmi Nagar and Patparganj, Delhi. Meanwhile, on a secret information one Nigerian national named Ebube and his companion namely Vaibhav Mahajan, involved in supply of contraband MDMA were nabbed from the Mother Dairy Road near Nehru complex.

Police are interrogating all the accused and further investigation is on.

Despite being in the opposition, he got more than 100 crore development works completed in his area, he said, adding that now his aim is to get it increased five times more.

He reiterated that he is committed to provide employment to more than five thousand unemployed youth in this area in the next five years.
