An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police and two traffic cops were on Thursday injured in a grenade attack by terrorists near the Zero Bridge in the posh Rajbagh area of Srinagar.

Reports said that terrorists lobbed a grenade on the police party near Zero Bridge in Rajbagh.

Three policemen, including an ASI of police, and two traffic cops sustained splinter injuries and were evacuated to SMHS hospital for treatment.

The injured have been identified as Iqbal Singh (ASI of JKAP 14 Bn) and traffic policemen Haris Manzoor (SPO) and Sanullah (Head Constable).

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a hunt to nab the terrorists.
