Rani Mukerji praises audience’s taste for diverse cinema

Rani Mukerji’s much-awaited film Mardaani 2‘s teaser is out. Makers shared the teaser trailer with the release date announcement on social media.
Showing Rani’s return in the intense cop-avatar, the short teaser shows her whipping someone with a voice-over dialogue playing in the background that sets the tone and mood of the film.
Yash Raj Films, the banner under which the film is being bankrolled, shared the teaser trailer on its Instagram account along with a fresh poster of the film.

They captioned it, “This Navratri, good will triumph over evil. Mark the date. #Mardaani2onDecember13 #RaniMukerji #GopiPuthran @mardaani2.”
In the poster, Rani is seen in her cop uniform standing behind her desk in an office which carries a wall-chart of the villain’s activities. The look on her face is determined and hard.
Directed by Gopi Puthran, Mardaani 2 will work as a sequel to the successful Mardaani, in which Rani also played the cop and uncovered a women-trafficking network.
In the sequel, she will be seen battling a 21-year-old villain and will reprise her role of the police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy.
Mardaani 2 is slated to release on 13 December 2019.
