Actor Vivek Oberoi has been the face of his upcoming film, PM Narendra Modi, ever since it first courted controversy.

Earlier, the film was supposed to release on April 11, the first phase of polling. The Election Commission however took a call to release the film on May 24, a day after the Lok Sabha election verdict is announced.

At the event held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and producer of the film Sandip Ssingh were also present.

Post the launch where the actor addressed media briefly, Oberoi shared his happiness regarding the latest exit poll results for LS elections 2019.

Mentioning how confident he was about the BJP sweep, he said he was sure of the success even when the team was shooting for the Modi biopic. Taking his comment a bit further, the actor in a tongue-in-cheek manner shared a photograph that is bound to stir news.

The meme comments on three stages of election results — opinion poll, exit poll and final verdict. The image is a combination of three photographs featuring Oberoi’s past flame Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. While one image shows her and Salman Khan with “Opinion Poll” written across it, just below it is a photograph of Oberoi himself with Aishwarya, and the caption says: “Exit Poll”. The final photograph with “Result” written on it shows the former Miss World with actor husband Abhishek Bachchan and their daughter Aradhya.

Sharing the meme on Twitter, Vivek Oberoi posted: “Haha! 👍 creative! No politics here….just life 🙏😃”

He also credited a Twitter user for the “creative” work.

At the time of writing, the post had garnered nearly 26,000 retweets and more than 86,000 ‘likes’. The post already has nearly 2000 comments too.

While many found the post funny, some criticised the actor for bringing up past relationships of another person on public forum.
