The news came shortly after a countdown clock on her website hit zero at exactly 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday. While she didn’t reveal an exact release date, the website did mention that special vinyl editions of the album will ship before October 13, so it looks like you won’t have to wait too long.

And big it is! Taylor’s site also reveals that a limited edition vinyl will be released in a unique “Portofino orange glitter” color. Along with that, a special cassette edition is up for pre-order, giving fans even more ways to experience her new music.
Fans quickly noticed that just 12 minutes before the album announcement, Travis Kelce’s podcast ‘New Heights’ (hosted by Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason Kelce) posted an image in the same orange shade.
As for the album artwork, it remains a mystery for now. The image on her website is blurred, leaving fans guessing what it could look like.
This new project follows ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, which she announced during the 2024 Grammy Awards. That album came out during her record-shattering Eras Tour, which became the highest-grossing tour of all time, raking in over $2.2 billion across two years and five continents.
This will also be her first album since she regained control of her music catalog. In May, Swift made headlines when she announced she had bought back her entire body of work, which originally released through Big Machine Records.
