Taapsee Pannu, Emraan Hashmi, Akshay Kumar wish fans Happy Dusshera

Dusshera, also known as Vijayadashmi, marks the victory of Lord Ram over the evil King Ravana.

As India celebrates Dusshera on Tuesday, B-Town celebrities took the opportunity to extend warm wishes of the festival to all.

On the auspicious occasion, Bollywood stars such as Taapsee Pannu, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur wished for love, light and happiness.

Dusshera, also known as Vijayadashmi, marks the victory of Lord Ram over the evil King Ravana. On this day, effigies of the latter are burnt to signify the triumph of victory of good over evil across the country. The day also signifies the victory of goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura. The goddess fought with him for 10 days and nine nights.

Taapsee Pannu whose upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh is lined up for release alongside Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4 tweeted, “Every end marks an opportunity to begin something new…Culminating the colourful Navratras with the culmination of the evil tonight…Happy Dussehra !!!! Keep the celebrations on!!!”

Akshay Kumar wished all with, “#HappyDussehra everyone. Hope this festive season brings lots of prosperity and joy to all of you.”

“#HappyDussehra to one and all! Love, light and the glorious triumph of goodness and humanity over all forms of evil,” shared Karan Johar.

Arjun Kapoor wrote, ” This #Dussehra, let’s try and destroy the evil within us and hope for a brighter year ahead! Wishing everyone a year filled with prosperity and happiness. #HappyDussehra.”

Bard of Blood actor Emraan Hashmi also wished all on social media. He wrote, “Best wishes of Dussehra to everyone. May your families be blessed with peace, happiness and prosperity. #HappyDussehra.”

Nimrat Kaur shared, ” #HappyDussehra everyone…. May we empower the good within and around us with stronger and more determined intentions. Also just LOVE the countdown to Diwali here on!”

Sonali Bendre Behl greeted all with an adorable post that read, “Greetings to everyone on the auspicious occasion of #Vijayadashmi. Let’s vow to destroy the evils inside us! I wish everyone health, peace, courage and happiness. #HappyDussehra!”

South superstar Tamannaah Bhatia also wished fans with a post, ” May this auspicious day burn away your worries and bring in lots of happiness and prosperity. Wishing everyone a very #HappyDussehra.”
