The actor-turned-politician, who currently serves as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, underwent surgery on Saturday evening after reportedly dealing with health issues for months.

According to the party’s statement, the situation began on Friday morning. While discussing administrative matters with officials, Kalyan reportedly experienced severe discomfort. The episode came after he had been facing health-related problems for the past few months.

Following advice from his personal physicians, he cancelled all scheduled engagements for the day. Soon after, he visited a hospital for evaluation. Doctors conducted multiple tests, including an MRI scan, to understand the issue.
After reviewing the results, the medical team decided that surgery was necessary and performed the procedure on Saturday evening.
The announcement immediately triggered concern among supporters, as the exact medical condition was not disclosed.
The statement further revealed that doctors have advised him to take complete rest for about a week before resuming official duties. However, the medical team also indicated that recovery may not be immediate. Long-term precautions have been recommended, and full recovery could take more time.

Hours after the official statement, actor-politician Nagendra Babu posted a message on X to calm anxious followers. He confirmed that Kalyan had successfully undergone the procedure and was recovering well.
In his message, Nagendra Babu said Kalyan is now safe and only needs a few days of rest. He added that the leader is expected to return soon after recuperating.
