Mumbai Police investigates Ranveer Singh deepfake
Mumbai Police takes action after actor Ranveer Singh files complaint regarding deepfake video, signaling a crackdown on digital deception.
Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi has been the talk of the town since its inception. Katrina, who is currently in Hyderabad shooting for the film, decided to arouse the interest of her fans by sharing the first glimpse of Akshay Kumar’s character in the film.
On Tuesday, the actress took to her official Instagram handle to introduce Akshay’s character as ‘Veer Sooryavanshi’ in the film. Sharing a picture of Veer in police identity, the actress captioned, “Now Shooting”.

Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the film is a new addition in Shetty’s cop drama universe after Singham and Simmba. The film brings back Katrina and Akshay together after nine years. The two have previously worked in films including Namastey London, Sing Is Kinng, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Welcome and Tees Maar Khan. It will also bring Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh together once again.
Akshay’s character Veer Sooryavanshi was first given a glimpse of as an anti-terrorist squad officer in the 2018 Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh.
Sooryavanshi which is slated to release on 27th March next year also features Gulshan Grover, Sikander Kher and others as well in supporting roles.
