George Clooney rejects Batman comeback
George Clooney jokes he won't return as Batman, citing a lack of appeal and humorously mentioning the infamous rubber nipples.
Former ER actress Vanessa Marquez was shot dead by the South Pasadena police in a Los Angeles suburb on Thursday. The 49-year-old actress was shot after she pointed a BB gun at them, authorities confirmed on Friday.
Officers reached Marquez’s home in Pasadena after being called by her landlord to check on her. Officers arrived at noon and found out that the Seinfeld actress was suffering from seizures and appeared unable to take care of herself. They called paramedics and a mental health clinician as they continued to talk with her, media reports said.
After about 90 minutes, according to a new item in Variety, Marquez armed herself with a BB gun and pointed it at the officers, causing them to open fire, said Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Mendoza.

Mendoza told reporters that Marquez appeared to be going through “mental problems” and seemed to be “gravely disabled”.
Last October, Marquez accussed by co-star George Clooney of being involved in blacklisting her from ER, after complaining of racial discrimination and sexual harassment.
“Clooney helped blacklist me when I spoke up about harassment on ‘ER’,” she wrote on Twitter that time.
Clooney issued a statement at the time saying he had nothing to do with casting on the show. The Ocean’s Eleven actor told E News,”I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted.”
If she was told I was involved in any decision about her career then she was lied to. The fact that I couldn’t affect her career is only surpassed by the fact that I wouldn’t,” Clooney added.
Vanessa Marquez appeared as Ana Delgado in the Edward James Olmos-starring film Stand and Deliver in 1998. She was best known for her role as a nurse Wendy Goldman ER. Her other credits include the series Malcom & Eddie and Wiseguy.
