In line with the United Nations environment theme, ‘Beat Air Pollution’, for this year, the Bhamla Foundtaion (a Mumbai-based NGO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment had launched an environmental initiative earlier this year.

The initiative was undertaken in the presence of actor and UN Ambassador for Environment Dia Mirza and lyricist Swanand Kirkire. The foundation, which had been working with artistes to release a song, ‘Hawa Aane De”, to mark the World Environment Day on June 5, has launched the official track.

The new initiative aims to encourage youngsters to get involved in fighting air pollution and introduce minor but effective changes in daily routine to beat air pollution.

The song features Akshay Kumar, Rajkumar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, Kapil Sharma, Shiamak Davar and has been sung by music industry veterans like Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shiamak Davar and Kapil Sharma.

Sony Music India launched the video on their YouTube channel. The synopsis of their post read: “Hawa Aanede is a song to create awareness about air pollution and creating an impact in the society, in the form of music since people connect with music more than anything.”

There is rap, bird view of cities, traffic policemen, people holding placards suggesting measures and tips to tackle air pollution, some stating facts about the effects associated with air pollution while the artists, including Akshay Kumar grooving to the track.

Kumar signs of in a complete Khiladi style, saying, ” Chal Hawa Anede.”

Kapil Sharma has also lent his voice to the collaborative effort.
