Shaakuntalam starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been in the limelight for a long time now. The trailer of the Gunasekhar directorial venture has impressed every one with its visual inducement, which has created a lot of excitement among the viewers. Now, the makers have unveiled the first song from Shakuntalam titled Madhur Kal Tu.
Composed by Mani Sharma, Madhur Kal Tu has been hummed by Armaan Malik and Shweta Mohan. Prashant Ingole has penned the lyrics of the melodious track. Madhur Kal Tu focuses on the epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant from Mahabharata, portrayed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan.
Shaakuntalam, an epic retelling of a chapter from the Mahabharata, is based on internationally-acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam’. Presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations in collaboration with Gunaa Teamworks and produced by Neelima Guna, Shaakuntalam was previously stated to release on February 17 but has now been postponed.
