Beverly Hills went from glamorous to chaotic on Sunday afternoon when pop sensation Rihanna got an unwelcome surprise; someone actually fired shots at her home! According to law enforcement sources, a woman opened fire on the singer’s mansion in the upscale Beverly Hills Post Office neighbourhood.
Pop star was home, but safe
The incident happened around 1:21 pm, with Los Angeles police rushing to the scene after multiple 911 calls. The source confirmed to the media that Rihanna was at home, along with her rapper partner ASAP Rocky, who shares three young kids with her. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the terrifying ordeal.

Shots fired from a car
Police say the 30-year-old suspect fired several rounds from inside a white Tesla, aiming at the star’s house. One bullet even pierced a wall of the mansion. Sgt. Jonathan de Vera of the LAPD confirmed that at least 10 shots were fired from across the street near the property gate before the suspect sped off south on Coldwater Canyon Drive.
Officers quickly relayed a description over the radio: the woman had braided hair, wore a cream-colored blouse, and her Tesla was dirty on the bottom. A helicopter tracked the car to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where she was arrested about 30 minutes after the first call.
When the suspect was detained, police discovered an assault rifle and seven casings in her vehicle, LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias said. Bullet holes were also found in the mansion’s gate and an RV parked in the driveway.
Rihanna and family life
The singer and ASAP Rocky are proud parents to three children: sons RZA (born May 2022) and Riot (born August 2023), and daughter Rocki, who arrived just over five months ago. They live in a colonial-style mansion that, while luxurious, has now become a reminder that fame often comes with real-life risks.
Rihanna has had unsettling encounters before. Back in 2018, a man named Eduardo Leon broke into her Hollywood Hills home and stayed inside for about 12 hours. Luckily, Rihanna was not home, and Leon was caught the next day by her assistant. He later pleaded no contest to stalking charges.
