He said the show made him understand the power of long narratives where audiences keep watching episode after episode.
Manjule also explained how ‘Matka King’ came together naturally. Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur was already thinking about the subject. And the idea developed further with Ashwini Sidhwani, writer Ashish, and Manjule himself. Once the concept was shaped, Amazon Prime Video liked it and supported the project.
