Mission Mangal declared tax-free in Maharashtra

The Jagan Shakti directorial has also become the fourth highest grossing film of 2019 and the highest grosser for Vidya Balan and Akshay Kumar.

After the phenomenol success of Mission Mangal at the box offcie, the Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan starrer has been declared tax-free in Maharashtra.

Mission Mangal becomes the second film after Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 to be declared tax-free in the state. The latter film was declared tax-free in  other states apart from Maharasthra.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the news on social media.

He wrote, “#MissionMangal declared tax-free [SGST] in #Maharashtra.”

Mission Mangal has been ruling the box office ever since its release alongside Batla House on August 15, 2019.

The film crossed Rs 50 cr benchmark in just 3 days, Rs 100 cr in 5 days, Rs 150 cr in 11 days.

Mission Mangal  also starrs Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi, Nithya Menen, and Kriti Kulhari among others.
