Mattel turns Miley Cyrus into a Barbie doll, complete with faux leather and a microphone

Miley Cyrus just got a very special honor. Mattel has turned her into an official Barbie Signature doll, and fans are already losing their minds over it.

This Barbie is not just any generic figure. It is styled after Cyrus’s look from the Golden Burning Sun music video, part of her Something Beautiful film project.

The doll comes dressed in a faux leather two-piece outfit designed by Alaia. That includes a bralette, narrow-leg pants, and a dramatic hooded jacket with a belt. To complete the biker inspired look, she wears pointed-toe black pumps.

Two accessories round out the package. The doll comes with sunglasses and a tiny microphone, a nod to Cyrus’s music career.

Sculpted to look just like her

Mattel did not stop at the outfit. The doll’s face resembles Cyrus’s actual likeness. It uses what Mattel calls the Gigi body type, a detail collectors and fans quickly zeroed in on after the listing went live.

The doll is fully articulated, meaning it can be posed in different positions, letting fans recreate that popstar energy on their shelves.

Cyrus did not hold back her excitement either. She called seeing her own Barbie for the first time a dream come true.

She explained how much time went into getting every little detail right, from the design of the outfit to the accessories. And, she said this level of detail mattered deeply to her, both as a creative person and in how she represents herself publicly.

Cyrus mentioned the look, hair, accessories, makeup, and overall structure were all under careful consideration. She was clear that the goal was not perfection, since that would not represent who she really is, but instead getting every detail of her golden Burning Sun look exactly right.
