To build up to the awards night, ‘Access Hollywood’ will dedicate five nights of programming, starting October 13, focused entirely on the Daytime Emmys. These episodes will give fans a closer look at nominees, behind-the-scenes stories, and the history of the awards.
Then, after the show, on October 20, the program will air a full recap, including exclusive interviews, red carpet highlights, and reactions from winners.
NATAS president and CEO Adam Sharp shared his excitement about having Lopez at the helm. “We’re thrilled to be working with ‘Access Hollywood’. And having Mario Lopez host this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards,” Sharp said. “As a beloved figure in daytime television himself, Mario brings the perfect blend of energy, familiarity, and star power to the stage.”
The upcoming ceremony also has something extra special in store. NATAS has revealed its latest gold and silver circle honorees, veteran television professionals who have made outstanding contributions to the industry for decades.
Gold circle honorees represent 50 years of work in television, while silver circle honorees mark 25 years of excellence. These individuals have not only created memorable content but also served as mentors and role models for future generations in the business.
Another big update for fans: for the first time since 2018, a limited number of tickets for the show will be available for public purchase. This means that fans of daytime television will finally get the chance to experience the glitz and glamour of the Emmys live and in person.
