Telugu filmstar Mahesh Babu had his career’s biggest opener with his 25th release Maharshi. The film is not only breaking box office records but is also creating a social impact .

An NGO recently held a special screening of Maharshi for children where a workshop was also included to highlight the social issues addressed in the movie.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata Shirodkar shared a post on her Instagram with the caption, “Touched & humbled with the sweet gesture by @peoplehelpingchildrenngo & ‘Asritha & Balatejassu Homes’ NGOs for arranging a special screening of Maharshi for the children upon their request. Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu also congratulated the superstar for a film “that highlights the need for farm conservation and support for the elderly, Maharshi is a remarkable film that everyone needs to watch. It highlights the greatness of the rural population and the importance of agriculture.”

The plot revolves around a man who becomes the CEO of a big company in the United States but remembers his roots and eventually comes back to his hometown to help and live among the people. The genre of the movie is an action thriller which touches upon an uprising social issue.

After garnering positive reviews from fans for his classic hit Bharat Aenu Nenu, now with Maharshi, the actor has received an immense response for the social impact it creates.

Maharshi released on 9 May 2019. The Vamsi Paidipally directorial joined the Rs 100 crore club in just two weeks of its release.
