Responding to her tweet, Amit Shah posted: “I pray to God for your quick recovery. I will meet you on my next trip to Mumbai.”

Shah visited Mumbai on Wednesday and met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

As part of the party’s new initiative, “Sampark for Samarthan”, prior to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Shah called on Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit-Nene and her husband Dr Sriram Nene soon after his arrival in Mumbai on Wednesday morning. Later in the day, he met former Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata.

Accompanied by Fadnavis and Maharashtra BJP chief Raosaheb Danve, Shah apprised the celebrities of the work done by the Narendra Modi government in the last four years, the NDA government’s vision for India. He also presented a booklet on the same.

“As always, it was inspiring to meet Ratan Tataji with Amit Shahji… We also presented him a book on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on auspicious Shivrajyabhishek din,” Fadnavis tweeted.

In another tweet, he said met “Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Dr Nene and family with Amit Shahji as a part of ‘Sampark For Samarthan’, an initiative to meet dignitaries to share the historic decisions and achievements” of Modi’s four years.

Danve dismissed the speculation that BJP would offer Madhuri Dixit-Nene a Rajya Sabha nomination, and said no such decision had been taken.

Shah also visited the Siddhi Vinayak Temple in Prabhadevi and met Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar on Wednesday.

As part of ‘Sampark for Samarthan’, Shah has so far met former Indian Army chief Dalbir Singh Suhag, former Lok Sabha secretary-general Subhash Kashyap, cricket legend Kapil Dev, retired Chief Justice of India RC Lahoti, and yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
