The shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next, starring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan in the lead has come to an end. The film’s final schedule in Himachal Pradesh wrapped up yesterday.

Currently untitled, the film is being touted as the sequel of the cult favourite film Love Aaj Kal. The shoot lasted 66 days and began earlier this year on March 4 in Delhi, then moving to Udaipur, Mumbai and finally closed in Himachal Pradesh.

Sara Ali Khan also shared pictures with her co-star, Kartik Aaryan and the filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali on social media apart from posting a heartfelt message for both. She thanked both of them for the film and the experience of it.

She wrote, “It’s a wrap! 66 days and a million memories. Thank you Imtiaz Ali for making my dream come true. I truly appreciate your warmth, patience and consideration with me every single day. Being on your set has been a privilege that I will always cherish and already miss.

“Thank you Kartik for instantly making me comfortable with you, for selflessly giving and for consistently looking out for me. From coffee’s about you to chai’s with you, I wish we could do it all over again. I’m going to miss you more than you know and more than I can admit.”

In response, Kartik Aaryan wrote, “And u dont know hw many times i hv read d lines u hv written fr me.”

Ranveer Singh was also quick to respond to his Simmba co-star’s post. He took the credit for making Sara meet Kartik and wrote, “So cute !bhoolna nahi sabse pehle kissne milwaya thha.”

Sara also thanked Imtiaz Ali for making her dream come true adding that being on the set of the filmmaker was a privilege.

Meanwhile Kartik Aaryan wrote that he never wanted the film’s shoot to end, using Veera’s dialogue( Alia Bhat’s character in Highway ) to express the sentiment. He also thanked his “dream director”, and appreciated Sara.

“And couldn’t have asked for a better saathi in this journey than Princess.” Further adding, “Want to work with you again and again and again.”

The film also starrs Randeep Hooda in a pivotal role.

Jio Studios, Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Imtiaz Ali and Reliance Entertainment’s Window Seat Films will present the film that will release next year in February 2020.
