Mumbai Police investigates Ranveer Singh deepfake
Mumbai Police takes action after actor Ranveer Singh files complaint regarding deepfake video, signaling a crackdown on digital deception.
While the ongoing Cricket World Cup has created a lot of buzz, so has the film that is being made on India’s first and historic win in the 1983 ICC World Cup final.
Titled, ’83 is Kabir Khan’s directorial with an ensemble cast that includes Ranveer Singh as the star player Kapil Dev, Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Deepika Padukone among others.
Based on India’s victory under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, the film has generated a lot of news ever since it was announced. Ranveer Singh and other signed actors have been associating with cricketers to ace their characters properly.

Ranveer Singh too has been spending a lot of time with Kapil Dev, to master the captain’s mannerisms, demeanor and style. On his birthday, the star had shared his first look as Kapil Dev and the similarity between the two struck audiences and fans.
Recently, Filmistaan fame actor Sharib Hashmi took to Twitter to share a picture of the former captain wearing a red T-shirt with striped pants emblematic and similar to Ranveer Singh’s fashion sense.
Ranveer Singh is known for experimental fashion statements that amaze his fans time and again.
Along with the picture, he wrote, “Kapil sir preparing for @RanveerOfficial ‘s biopic( sic)”
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap retweeted the actor’s post while Riteish Deshmukh also reacted to it.
