Who is the viral bride?

According to various claims made on the internet, the bride behind the viral video is Tanya hailing from Aligarh. She recently married Aditya Gautam, an SD officer posted in Saharanpur, originally from Mohammad Qadeem village in Ghaziabad.

The couple reportedly tied the knot on 28th November at a temple in Kedarnath Dham, and their reception was held on 1st December at a hotel in Meerut.

Internet forums also claim that Tanya is a college professor in Saharanpur. Her husband Aditya, meanwhile, continues his work as an SD officer.

A performance that melted hearts

What makes Tanya’s video special is the timing and the setting. During what looks like a traditional “munh dikhai” ceremony, a ritual where women greet the bride after her wedding, Tanya took center stage, ghoonghat in place, and played her guitar while singing “Maine Socha Na Tha Ek Din Tum Mujhe Mil Jaoge”.

The video is claimed to have been recorded by Aditya’s aunt Meena Kumari which was later uploaded to Instagram on her children’s account ‘Arsh Utkarsh’, and it didn’t take long for the clip to catch fire.

Viewers flooded the comments with praise for Tanya’s soulful voice and many affectionately dubbed her the rockstar bride.
