Sometimes a concert is not just a concert. It becomes a moment, a memory, a heartbeat shared with thousands. That is exactly what Sonu Nigam wants to create as he prepares to kick off his ‘Deewana Tera’ Tour with his first-ever solo live show in Guwahati on December 14, and by remembering Zubeen Garg.

The singer made the announcement on Instagram just days after Post Malone’s performance in the city on December 9.

Sharing the poster of the event, Sonu wrote, “Dec 14. A night Guwahati will remember forever. Sonu Nigam live for Deewana Tera!”

But for Sonu, this venue is more than just a tour stop. In a press note, he revealed that choosing Guwahati as the starting point is deeply personal. The city reminds him of his close connection with late music icon Zubeen Garg, whose passing left him heartbroken.

Sonu shared that he was moved watching the people of Assam come together to honour Zubeen saying he had never seen such pure love and respect anywhere else.

After Guwahati, the ‘Deewana Tera’ Tour will travel across India moving next to Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow. Each city will get a specially designed show featuring Sonu’s most iconic hits from romantic ballads to his high-energy classics.

Earlier this year, on his 52nd birthday, he announced another massive all-India tour titled ‘Satrangi Re’ covering Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Shillong, and Delhi-NCR.

Sonu Nigam remains one of Indian music’s strongest and most versatile voices. Whether it is the soulful ‘Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin’, the patriotic ‘Sandese Aate Hain’, or crowd favourites like ‘Bole Chudiyan’, his songs continue to live in playlists.
