Emily Blunt has turned heads in New York City with a bold new look while filming the much-awaited sequel to ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.
On the set of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, the 41-year-old actress was spotted rocking a chic bleach-blonde bob with darker roots. This is a big change from the fiery red hair her character, Emily Charlton, wore in the 2006 hit.

In the first movie, Emily Charlton was the loyal yet snarky assistant to Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep), the intimidating editor-in-chief of the fictional ‘Runway’ magazine. Emily’s style and personality made her one of the most memorable supporting characters in the film, which became a global favourite for its witty take on the fashion industry.

The original ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, directed by David Frankel and based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel, starred Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt.
It told the story of Andy Sachs (Hathaway), an aspiring journalist who lands a job at ‘Runway’ only to discover that surviving Miranda’s demands is a challenge in itself.
For the sequel, the magic of the original cast will be back. Hathaway returns as Andy, Streep once again steps into Miranda’s high heels, Tucci reprises his role as the stylish Nigel, and Blunt is back as the ever-sarcastic Emily Charlton.
The sequel is also welcoming a fresh wave of talent. Joining the cast are Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, ‘Bridgerton’ star Simone Ashley, Kenneth Branagh, comedian Caleb Hearon, and Broadway performers Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora.
While the plot is under wraps, fans can expect the same mix of high fashion, razor-sharp humour, and the workplace drama that made the original a classic.
‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ is going to release in theatres on May 1, 2026, giving audiences plenty of time to speculate about the new twists, character arcs, and, of course, the outfits.
